Middletown Recreation Center’s Microgrid Demonstrates Benefits of a Single Contractor

A case study of the Middletown Microgrid in Connecticut, highlighting the benefits of the use of a single contractor in design, engineering, installation and service of a microgrid development. Here a combined heat and power anchor is supplemented by solar PV, battery energy storage systems, back up gas-fueled generator and microgrid controller. The facility will also act as a shelter for the local homeless community during severe weather incidents.
