Microgrid 2017 continues to grow with 60 panelists and speakers, in-depth workshops, on-stage interviews, lively discussions and extensive networking opportunities planned for the Nov. 6-8 event.
“We will leverage our Boston location to showcase multiple mission-critical microgrids providing services to world-class companies and institutions while answering these questions: How do you optimize efficiency? What is your islanding strategy? What was the business case for deployment and how do you interact with the local utility?” said Robert Thornton, president & CEO of the International District Energy Association, which is co-hosting the event with Microgrid Knowledge and the Microgrid Resources Coalition.
Exhibit space is already sold out for the event, and a waiting list has been established. Registration also has been brisk in recent weeks.
“Interest in microgrids is growing. We see new players entering the arena and established companies expanding their scope,” said Elisa Wood, editor-in-chief of Microgrid Knowledge. “But the industry is still young and has a lot of work to do, especially when it comes to educating regulators, policymakers and elected officials. Microgrid 2017 will be a venue for industry leaders to strategize the way forward.”
